what a diffference a month makes

Amazingly, the night our water pump cut out (automatically due to low water level in the tank) the heavens opened and the tank was filled. Unfortunately we don't have extra tanks, as the rain kept going for a week just overflowing from the tank onto the ground.
Had a great 2 week visit with Em and Cheyenne a few weeks ago and the furniture truck came and picked up the stuff they wanted to take to Bendigo yesterday. So, I'll just have to learn to be an away grandma and save up for air fares. Chris has already got a permanent part time job on a farm and Em has applied for a few sewing jobs too. They are looking at renting a house but haven't moved from Chris's parents place yet. At least in Bendigo they can get a house with a yard, which has to be better than the little flat they were in here.
Ewen is still hanging in there at school to complete his HSC. He was threatened with a "N" or non completion of a course, letter last week, as he's refusing to put much time or effort into things. Most of his time is spent in the caravan with his mates at the moment.
Looking forward to the school holidays after next week - will probably try to get up and visit Corey and Janet. They seem to have enjoyed their trip to the States, but of course, needed more time to do all the things they wanted and to visit everyone they wanted to.
